My Bikes

Focus Raven Expert

I bought this bike as my first MTB that I intended to take offroad in 2009. Actually my wife bought it for my birthday! :) . It’s pretty light at 10.3kgs. Full carbon frame and rides like a dream.

Malvern Star – Oppy Le Mauco

Bought this bike as it was about the best value bike I could find for my budget of $4000 AUS. Somewhat unique in that it’s blue. All Malvern Star Oppy’s use the same frame just painted (labelled) differently depending on model. The Le Mauco specification is normally red, but I wanted blue so the bike store transferred everything over to a blue frame normally used for the Lyon (Ultegra groupset).

Bought – Oct 2008 (New)
Frame – Carbon Monocoque 12k weave
Groupset – Dura-ace
Wheels – Mavic Kyyrium SL Premium Superlight

Avanti – Corsa Carbonio

Bought this bike secondhand from the Western Australian triathlete site. Served me well for the first year. Now I use it primarily for commuting.

Bought – Mar 2007 (Second hand)
Frame – Aluminium with carbon forks and downstays
Groupset – Ultegra
Wheels – Shimano R540

GT i-Drive

My first bike since I was a kid. In hindsight it was a mistake to buy a full suspension MTB, but what did I know! Will probably sell in the next year and replace with something more suitable. I don’t do a lot of off-roading at the moment, but want to start doing more.

Bought – Sep 2003 (New)
Frame – TBC
Groupset – Deore
Wheels – TBC
